BREAKING: Tatum David Will Not Compete At Champs Sports Nats

cross country runner extraordinaire Tatum David is out of this weekend's national meet in San Diego, California

On the heels of a fine season and perhaps one of her greatest feats to date was earning All-American honors (8th-17:22) at the Team Cross Nationals in Portland, Oregon, Richland County Olney senior Tatum David high school season has come to an end.

David, who won the Midwest Champs Sports Regional Championship in 17:16 several weekends ago, has contracted vestibular neuritis, an inflammation of the ear. According to her father Robert David, Tatum began experiencing some serious side effects upon returning home on Monday. "Tatum had been fighting a cold for a solid month entering NXN," stated Mr. David. "We believe that the cold, coupled with travel, has caused inflammation in her ear." Other symptoms of vestibular neuritis include vomiting and dizziness which Tatum has experienced.

Tatum's tremendous season had her on track for additional national honors. We are confident that Tatum will bounce back soon and we wish her nothing but the best!
