The finishing up of one of the races at the St. Helen Open was fast and furious
If you have never been to Schiller Woods Forest Preserve, you have basically missed one of Chicagoland's most treasured natural retreats. Aside from nature walks and picnics, it has hosted many top-notched cross-country meets. One such cross-country event was the St. Helen Open hosted by St. Helen Catholic School. Meet director Mike Kozlowski and his staff have tirelessly worked on making this invitational a must-go destination in mid-September. In its fourth year, the Open has drawn over 1900 participants from grades fourth through eighth.
