Lake Zurich's Brooke Johnston made the most of her trip to the very hot and humid climes of Greensboro, North Carolina. Johnston, who finished up her junior year, got the jump on a talented but sparse field two-mile field. Johnston led at every quarter-mile checkpoint including the first mile in 5:13. The ultimate prize was a thrilling victory in a new season-best and US#9 10:19.70.
