One of the most prolific track and field athletes to ever come out of the state of Illinois will soon provide an opportunity for the youth to compete in a competitive and exciting invitational.
Olympian Morolake Akinosun got her start with the famed coach Thomas Boatright and the Aurora Flyers Track Club as a youth. Akinosun would go on to star at Aurora (Waubonsie Valley) High School. There she set many records on the track including the current all-time 100m best 11.41. Akinosun went on to compete at the University of Illinois and the University of Texas. Nothing short of a bevy of All-American honors filled Akinosun's trophy case.
Currently, Akinosun is a championship professional athlete who has toured the world several times over winning world championship and Olympic glory.
