Outlook: There are some pundits say this is the third best sectional in all of the state classifications in terms of firepower. There are relays: 4x1, 4x2, 4x4, 4x8 to choose from; speed will come from Robert Williams of Springfield in the hurdles, Jermarrion Stewart of Collinsville and Deonte McGoy of Alton will battle in the 100 and 200, Quemarii Williams of Danville is back for the 400; Andrew O'Keefe of Granite City is the state leader in the 1600; the 3200 is a tough field where multiple runners could advance to state.

Chicago Heights (Bloom Twp.)-
Sectional Date: Wednesday, May 15

Outlook: It will be like a full all out scale battle of strength and speed. Superior athletic talent with the likes of Crete-Monee, Homewood-Flossmoor, Bloom, Lincoln-Way East., etc... Ricky Johnson, Victor Cameron, Jamal Safo are the speed bosses for CM. The relays are superb as well as the open events. The distance is good with Brett Gardner of Lincoln-Way East going against cross county foe and friend Jared Kreis of Lincoln-Way Central. Sit back and enjoy!

HEAT SHEET I RESULTS
Outlook: Distance central here and it feels like a dam that's ready to break. York, Wheaton-Warrenville South, and Glenbard West are lurking and ready to explode. Will York show off the talent that everyone believes they possess? Is junior Ethan Kern ready prove something to himself and his teammates? How about the xc champs WWS? Are they going to go for it collectively in the 4x8 relay? Rory Cavan of GW chose the 32/16 double instead of the relay. What gives? The speed game will feature Adam Wiatr of Lake Park and Cedric Rowzee of WWS. Good. Let's take a seat and watch things unfold.

Outlook: This is an interesting sectional here with some big-time talent placed out in the boondocks. The main topic has been the health of Plainfield North superstar Marcellus Moore. The junior has been on the shelf for several weeks since tweaking his hamstring. He recently sat out his conference meet and there is talk of him not running on any relays this round. Fans and pundits alike will have the wait and see approach Thursday evening. Neuqua Valley as a program has some questions to answer. The Wildcats have been noticeably absent much of the outdoor season. They will have approximately four hours or so to complete the interrogation.

Rockford Guilford Sectional-

Running Events: 5:30

Outlook:

Skokie (Niles West) Sectional-
Date: Thursday, May 16
Field Events: 2:00
Running Events: 3:00
Outlook: It is puzzling to see more MSL teams in a sectional that was originally designed for teams that has more in common proximity wise. Hersey, Prospect, and Wheeling are here now. Teams like Taft and Mather have been shifted to Proviso East. Even Lane Tech once competed at the Niles West/Loyola Sectional. But anyway, some great quality in the distance races will be featured. Josh Methner of Hersey is the distance king and Tommy Brady of Maine South will lock horns in the 3200m. Prospect's surprisingly good sprint corps led by John Moellenkamp is ready to show the state that they are for real.

St. Charles North Sectional-

Outlook: St. Charles East has one of the top 4x800 relay teams in the state.
