The Central Suburban League (South) meet hosted a talented group of teams, including Evanston Township, New Trier, Glenbrook South, Niles North, and Maine South. Adverse weather conditions and rain pushed the meet back to Friday, May 3rd, although it was originally scheduled for the Thursday before.

The championship action kicked off in the field with the long jump. Junior Raelyn Roberson of Glenbrook South had been lurking near the top of the charts all year long. Well, she finally snapped on Friday evening in front of her peers. Roberson took over the state lead with a personal best and now all-conditions US#12. Roberson would later win the 100 (12.74) and place second in the 200 (26.29). Teammate Sydney Willits notched the triple jump in 37-11.

New Trier owned the distance events, winning in the 4x800, 800, 1600, and 3200. The Trevians took the 4x800 in a time of 9:30.94, which is the sixth fastest time in the state.  A short time later it was Ellie Finnigan that won the 3200m over teammate Marlee Fradkin 11:19.69-11:26.55. The team's big-name Marne Sullivan was a leader for New Trier, taking first in the 800 (2:18.84), second in the 400 (59.31), and assisting her team to victory in the 4x400 (4:05.09). Lastly, it was Bridget Forbes that completed the sweep with an easy victory in the 1600, running 5:12.51

A noteworthy mention was senior Sidney Kunkler of New Trier ran a time of 25.93 in the 200 for the win. She would also take second in the long and triple jumps, leaping 18-5 and 37-9.5.

Overall, the meet showcased New Trier's strength as a whole, while individuals from the other teams stood out in the field and sprint events. The Trevians walked away with 147 points.
