Jesse Reiser (Jr., University of Ilinois/McHenry HS)

Reiser is another one of the best the state of Illinois has ever seen in terms of distance running. His time at McHenry high school ended with three state titles including two of them in the 3200m. Reiser redshirted this past xc season with injuries and illness sidelining most of the Illini's top runners. He has come back to racing strong as part of the Illini's DMR which is currently ranked 9th in the NCAA. This will not be his first rodeo at the National Championships as he was a part of the Illini's 2017 XC national qualifying team, but this will be his first good attempt at all-American honors.
