Triple Jump-

2018 State Champion: Jonathan Wilburn (Evanston Twp.) 47-2.75

Key Athletes: Quinton Stringfellow (Sr., Homewood-Flossmoor), Isaiah Graham (Sr., East Aurora), Jayden Lambert (Jr., Downers Grove South), Fard Farrakhan (Sr., Lincoln-Way East), Moshe Rogers (Sr., West Aurora), Temi Osobamiro (Sr., Metea Valley), Kevin Szczepaniec (Sr., Chicago [Taft]), Kwesi Yeboah (Sr., Oak Park-River Forest), Qa'Ron Hawkins (Sr., Springfield), Josh Guyer (Jr., Huntley), Myles Lincoln (Jr., Plainfield South)

Breakdown: Triple jump this year is very interesting as there is no clear leader of the bunch. Multiple guys have the ability to step up and stake a claim as the king of the three hop, step, jump.

Jayden Lambert is the top returner from the state meet with his 3rd place finish. New to the event last season he could take over the event with added experience and flip it into a state title.

Quinton Stringfellow, fourth last season actually holds the top returning mark within this classification. He looks to turn his preseason number one into a number one mark at the state meet and contribute team points in the process.

Fard Farrakhan has already dropped a 44-9.75 leap this preseason, with the extra training he is receiving, he may be the guy on top of the mountain top in late May.

Isaiah Graham is a very dangerous competitor that has had some bad luck in the past with injuries. Last season Graham posted a 46-6 performance but dealt with injury troubles shortly after.

Myles Lincoln has the possibility to make waves this year after a big summer and early season campaign.

Temi Osobamiro made the state final and is expected to end his high school career with another All-State performance.
