
1. Marcellus Moore (So., Plainfield North)- "Baby Holyfield" did not take any prisoners in his second championship. Literally and figuratively from the gun did Moore put his competition in his rearview mirror. In my humble opinion, I think in order to cement his history among the IHSA Gods this is what had to be done. I don't think I have seen a sprinter be as impressive as Moore was since Lake Park's Anthony Moorman. Of course, we could throw Kahmari Montgomery of Plainfield Central in the mix, but I don't think he had a target on his back like Moorman and Moore did from the opening day of the season.
