No. 10: BYU
Recruits: Sadie Sargent, Aidan Troutner, Dallin Draper, Jake Grimsman, Aubrey Frentheway
The Skinny: At the very least, BYU has loaded itself with talent over the last two recruiting cycles, including this one. But immediate impacts will be harder to define. Some of these athletes will go on LDS missions directly out of high school -- delaying their eventual collegiate futures for two years -- as a part of their faith, but that doesn't discount the sheer class of this recruiting cycle for BYU. Troutner, the Gatorade National Cross Country Runner of the Year, gives BYU two straight Gatorade winners on its roster. Last year's winner, Casey Clinger, competed in cross country this past fall before setting out on his mission. However, Troutner will go right away. Beyond the Timpview senior, though, BYU locked up Grimsman, a Californian who's crested 7-feet or higher three separate times in the high jump in 2018. Frentheway was one of the top distance runners in Wyoming while Sargent, hailing from a small Utah school, has speed and depth to boot.
