Urbana University HS senior Arielle Summitt may be the face of Class A distance running this spring now that one of the best to ever lace up the spikes Anna Sophia Keller has moved on the University of Notre Dame. The Keller legacy produced multiple triple doubles that spawned three state 3200 and four 1600 state titles.
So the long journey to the championship season officially begins January 15 says the Illinois High School Association calendar. The state championship will be ultimately be the culmination for the majority of student-athletes on the weekend of May 17-19.
Note: The rankings are based off of the top returning marks from the 2017 outdoor season (some thoughts could include the '17 indoor season).
