Lauren Trapani jumped onto the scene early this season with a big run at the 19th Annual Bear Mountain River Run. She won the meet by running 17:41.40, which is currently the second-fastest freshman 5K time in the country. She raced three times this year and all three have been wins. Her most recent win comes from the 11th PIAA Foundation XC Invitational, where she ran 18:56.00 to take the win. If you're in the Northeast, watch out for Lauren Trapani who could easily make a jump onto the national stage this season.
