One of the nation's elite triple jumpers over the past three years is finally a senior. Homewood-Flossmoor standout student-athlete Jaimie Robinson produced a great season in 2016- one of the greatest in Illinois annals. Her wind legal 41-10.5 supreme effort rated US #4 (#6 all-conditions). As well Robinson produced the third best jump in Illinois after Lajarvia Brown (Alton) and Deanna Simmons (Decatur MacArthur). Robinson will enter the 2017 track and field season as the #2 recruit in the triple jump behind Californian Tara Davis.
Robinson is not a one-dimensional athlete. Her 19-0.25 long jump personal best rated #9 in the state. She was also adept enough to compete individually on the track: 100m (12.44), 200m (25.57), and running legs on two all-state relays.
