Chicago, IL - The staff of Midwest Distance Gala, Inc. is proud the announce the 4th annual Midwest Distance Gala will take place on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois. This annual track competition brings together many of the top high school distance runner in the country, testing their abilities in fast-paced, head-to-head racing.
In the 2007 edition, over 140 athletes took part in the event, coming from twenty states and three countries. In addition to growing participation numbers, numerous all-American athletes competed in nine scheduled events, which saw a total of eight new meet records set. Continual growth of the event continues as a goal, and the 2008 edition is shaping up to be the most competitive and fun-filled event yet.
