Ja'Mari Wards Ends Debate, Selects Mizzou As College Choice

One of the most anticipated waits this school regarding college commitments has come to an end. The nation's top rated jumper (triple and long) Ja'mari Ward (Sr., Cahokia) verbally committed to the University of Missouri in Columbia. Ward selected Mizzou over schools such as University of Kentucky, University of Illinois, and the jumps rich University of Florida. There was some speculation that Ward chose Mizzou because his older brother LaDerrick Ward is located and training for the 2016 Olympic Games. Whether true or not Missouri got an excellent blue chip talent who aims to be very successful. The school records LJ (27-1.75) and TJ (55-7.75) has stood for a very long time, but Ward will take them down if he stays healthy and hungry.

Ward set the IHSA state meet record in the long jump last spring with 25-0.25.

Check for more indepth and exclusive interview with Ward in the very near future!
