Rory Gaan has been named the boy's athlete of the week for the first time. The junior from Palatine Fremd won by the closest margin since MileSplit IL started its AOTW several years ago. Of the 5770 votes tabulated, Gaan took home 2400 (41.59%). Harley Rizzs of Burbank St. Laurence was second with 2382 (41.28%).
Gaan won the Nagel-Saylor Invite 3200m with a time of 9:11.35. It is an indoor school and meet record.
