Women's Track and Field sixth at Margaret Bradley Invite

Richards was among the top Spartan performers
In the final meet before the important Northern Athletics Conference Meet, the Aurora University Spartan
women's indoor track and field team finished sixth out of 10 teams with 42 points at the University of Chicago Margaret Bradley Invitational.

Leading the AU women was Samantha Owens with fourth place finishes in both the shot put (11.12 meters) and the weight throw (13.51 meters). Junior Ainsley Richards placed fifth in the long jump (4.69 meters), while freshman Kaylee Swearingen finished fifth in the 55 meter hurdles (9.60). Fellow freshman, Loretta Johnson finished seventh in the 55 meter dash (7.95) and eighth in the 400 meter dash (1:04.82).

Next action for the Spartan women's track and field team comes on Saturday, Feb. 25 in the Northern Athletics Conference Championships. Meet time is set for 11:00 a.m. in Kenosha, Wis.
