AU’s Deckard named Northern Athletics Conference Women’s Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week

Deckard was the top NAC finisher in the AU Classic.

Aurora University junior Briana Deckard (Danville, Ind./Danville H.S.) has been named Northern Athletics Conference Women's Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week.

Deckard finished 11th in the women's 6K event and was the top NAC finisher at the AU Spartan Classic on Friday. She posted a time of 24:12.4 as one of the leaders of 120 entrants.

The NAC honor is the second straight week a Spartan women's runner has been honored.

The next action for Deckard and the women's cross country team comes on Saturday, September 17, when they travel to the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcon Classic. Meet time is set for 11 a.m. in Mequon, Wis.
