Dawson Rogers (Paris) cleared 6-10.25 in the high jump at the IHSA Boys Track & Field State Championships on May 28, improving from his previous personal best of 6-7. The mark ranks #4 among 2050 athletes in Illinois and set a Paris High School record. Rogers won the event among 100 competitors.
Wences Baumgartner (Beecher) cleared 6-3.75 in the high jump at the IHSA Boys Track & Field State Championships, improving from his previous best of 6-0.75 set in May 2026. The mark ranks #78 in Illinois and established a Beecher High School record. Baumgartner placed 36th of 100 competitors.
Jack Shank (Metro-East Lutheran, Edwardsville) ran 4:21.86 in the 1600 meters at the IHSA Boys Track & Field State Championships, improving from his previous best of 4:31.57. The senior ranks #101 among 5818 athletes in Illinois and #48 among 996 seniors in the state. Shank set a Metro-East Lutheran High School record and finished 41st of 105 competitors.
