Junior
Lauren Alpert was named the “Most Valuable Performer” for the 2011 Illinois Wesleyan women's track team.
At the NCAA Division III indoor championships, Alpert placed fourth in the long jump, fifth in the 400, and teamed with junior
Shavantay Thomas, sophomore
Lauren Rock and junior
Jessica Christy to turn in a school-record time of 3:48.48 in the 4x400 for a second place finish.
At the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin indoor meet, she was the "Women's Track Athlete of the Meet" as she got three individual first place finishes (200, long jump, triple jump) and as part of the winning 4x400 relay team and a second place in the 400.
In last weekend's CCIW outdoor meet, Alpert got second in the long jump, going 17 feet-11 inches.

Mallory Kirby earned the “Best Newcomer” award and senior
Lorin Biosca was selected as the “Hardest Worker”.
This winter, Kirby was fifth in the CCIW indoor 800 with her time of 2:17.43 and ran a leg on the first place distance medley relay team (with a CCIW record time of 12:20.58) that also participated in the NCAA indoor championships. She was ninth in the 800 at the CCIW outdoor meet with a time of 2:23.62.
At the CCIW outdoor meet, Biosca finished fifth in the 1500 (4:48.34) and eighth in the 5000 (19:04.71) and she was third in the CCIW indoor championships mile run with a time of 5:12.51 and also third in the 5000 with a time of 18:23.68.
Alpert was also chosen to serve as a co-captain for the 2012 team along with are juniors
