DEKALB, Ill. (Apr. 23, 2011)--
The North Central College men's track & field squad sent four pole vaulters to the University of Iowa's Musco Twilight Invitational on Saturday evening at the Francis X. Cretzmeyer Track, placing three athletes in the top six.

Josh Winder won the event featuring 15 athletes, clearing a season-best and provisional qualifying height of 16 feet, 6 3/4 inches. Peter Geraghty finished in a three-way tie for second place, also clearing a season-best 16 feet, 6 3/4 inches but placing runner-up due to more missed attempts. John Wood finished tied for sixth, clearing a provisional qualifying 15' 7".

The rest of the second-ranked Cardinal squad took the weekend off. North Central will compete as a split-squad this week, sending select individuals and relays to the Drake Relays on Apr. 28-30 in Des Moines, Iowa while the remainder of the team will compete at the Benedictine University Twilight Invitational on Friday night.
