The Southside Track and Field League was intense throughout the season (@shotzbytaeee on IG)

Coach Pierre was a long-time coach at St. Rita High School on 79th and Western, on the far south side of Chicago. While there, he developed a youth track league known as the 'Southside League'. For the past 15 years, the league has developed countless young boys and girls through the sport of track and field.
Over the past weekend, Coach P and his staff were excited to present a great championship and within it they named the following as league MVPs: Riley Harty (Gately Park AC), Ari Kennedy (Whitney Young Academic Center), Gabrielle McKinney (Kenwood Academy), Amere Collier, Mariam Dahissa (VOV Academy), and Messiah Nix (South Track Hawks).
Key event leaders: Boys- Cole Smith (Clissold)- 400m; Brady Becker (Catherine Cook School)- 800m, Mason Miller- LJ; Girls: Hannah Hill (Lindblom MS)- 400; Madisyn Hillard (Kenwood Academy)- LJ
