Daylin Donaldson (Jr., Belleville East) enjoyed a tremendous day at the Norm Armstrong Belleville West Invitational. He started his day with a big win in the 110HH (13.68/+2.9) against an amazing field. Next up was the 300H, his best event. Donaldson blazed a new state leading 37.22. In the 200, he ran 21.37 PB in taking 4th overall.
Owen Horeni (Sr., Yorkville) traveled west to compete in the Arcadia Invitational and earned a third place medal in the highly competitive 800m. His time of 1:50.25 is an IL#1 and US#7 mark.
Aidan Connors (Sr., Plainfield North) held on late to win the Belleville West Invitational 1600m in a IL #1 4:16.01.
Jamie Chandler (Sr., Deerfield) ran the race of a lifetime at the Arcadia Invitational. Chandler competed in one of the seeded sections of the 3200m and ran an IL#1 8:58.37.
Anthony Edison Jr (Sr., Homewood-Flossmoor) won the Belleville West Invite triple jump with a mark of 47'2"- IL#1 and top 100 mark all conditions in the country.
Joseph Frierdich (So., Carbondale) produced a massive effort in the discus throw at the Carterville CO-Ed Invite, tossing the plate 191'9", a new state leading mark and US#19.
Graham Meister (Jr., Dwight) swept the throws at the St. Anne Invite: SP (59'11.50/IL#2) and DT (163'1.75")
Quinn Anderson (Jr., Chicago Lane Tech) produced two great efforts at the Arcadia Invitational, both in relay formats. On Friday night, Anderson brought his team back from a deficit in the 4x1600, dropping a 4:17.25 anchor (FAT) for the win. On Saturday night, Anderson led off the Invitational Distance Medley Relay (DMR) in 3:05.70 (1200m leg- the fastest in the meet) to put his team in the lead. The Champions placed 5th overall in 10:16.60 and US#10.
