PEORIA, Ill. - Big 12 Conference schools took three of the top five places in both the men's and women's team competitions and produced the individual champions in both races at the 2010 NCAA Midwest Regional Cross Country Championships Saturday at Newman Golf Course.
While Oklahoma State had three of the top four individual finishers in the 10-kilometer men's race, including champion Colby Lowe, their in-state rivals from Oklahoma took the men's team title. On the women's side, Iowa State won the team title by placing three of the first four runners behind individual champion Stephanie Price of Minnesota.
The Bradley women placed 18th among the 27 teams in the 6K race and were paced by Mary Goldkamp's 50th-place run (21:26.36). The Bradley men were 19th among the 24 competing teams and were led by Zach Bowling's 69th-place run (31:47.16).
