This Week's Nominees:

Rayna Raglin, Alton (Sr.) (Illinois): Posted personal bests in both sprint events at the Lady Maroon Track and Field Invitational, clocking 11.47 in the 100 meters and 23.18 in the 200 meters. Her 100 time broke her PR of 11.58 set last May, while the 200 improved from her previous best of 23.61. She defeated state-ranked sprinter Cassidy Willis in both events and added a third-place finish in the 400 meters at 58.70.

Jordan Hamb, Chicago (South Shore International) (Illinois): Broke her personal record in the 100m hurdles at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, running 13.61 to finish third in a field of 78. The time improved from her previous best of 13.71 set at the 2024 USATF National Junior Olympic Championships. She also competed in the horizontal jumps, going 37-2 in the triple jump and 16-7.5 in the long jump.

Sophia Shapiro, Edwardsville (Illinois): Swept both hurdles events at the Lady Maroon Track and Field Invitational with new personal bests in each. She won the 300m hurdles in 41.96, breaking her PR of 42.83, and took the 100m hurdles in 13.66, improving from 14.04. The junior ranks as the top hurdler in her class statewide in both events.

Cassidy Willis, Belleville (East) (Illinois): Turned in a pair of personal bests at the Lady Maroon Track and Field Invitational, running 11.82 in the 100 meters and 24.40 in the 200 meters. Her 100 time broke her PR of 12.03 while the 200 improved from 24.88, both previous bests set last May. The performances rank her as the #2 junior in the state in the 100 and #3 junior in the 200.

Karlin Janowski, Elmhurst (York) (Illinois): Clocked personal records in both distance events at the Oregon Relays, running 10:27.25 for second place in the 3200 meters and 4:57.98 in the 1600 meters. Her 3200 time broke her PR of 10:31.34 set earlier this season, while the 1600 improved from 5:00.82. The sophomore now ranks #2 in her class statewide in the 3200 and #4 in the 1600.
