This Week's Nominees:
Isaiah Whitaker, Bloomington (Central Catholic) (Illinois): Won the pole vault at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays with a clearance of 17-11.25, the top mark in the country, topping a field of 23 competitors.
Zion Morrison, Flossmoor (Homewood-F.) (Illinois): Clocked 10.33 for second place in the 100 at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, breaking his PR of 10.43 set last June. The #1 junior in Illinois in the 100 also posted a PR in the 110 hurdles with 13.92, improving from 13.97.
Shane Box, Collinsville (Illinois): Put up a winning mark of 58-8.25 in the shot put at the Kahok Krazy Relays. Also won the discus with 171-7.75, a new PR, improving from 171-7 set earlier this month.
TJ Cason, Belleville (West) (Illinois): Jumped 23-9 to win the long jump at the O'Fallon Boys Relays, a massive PR breaking his previous best of 21-2.25 set last March.
Francis Sessenou, East Moline (United) (Illinois): Threw 173-1.5 to win the discus at the Gene Shipley Invitational, beating a field of 16 competitors. Also captured the shot put with 53-7.5.
