Oct. 12, 2010-- For the fourth time this season, North Central College women's cross country runner Amanda Laesch has been honored as the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Runner of the Week.

The senior finished third at Saturday's Dan Huston Pre-National Invitational held at Wartburg College's Max Cross Country Course in Waverly, Iowa. Lasech traversed the 6,000-meter course in 22:23 to lead the Cardinals, helping the team finishing third overall with 121 points at the 23-team event.

This is the fourth occasion this season the CCIW has honored Laesch. The senior also claimed the award on Sept. 8, Sept. 21 and Sept. 28.

The Cardinals will compete as a split squad on Saturday, Oct. 16, taking the top team to the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational in Winneconne, Wis. while the rest of the squad will compete at the Skyhawk Invitational in Dixon, Ill.
