Sept. 8, 2010-- For her performance at Friday's Badger Classic, North Central College women's cross country runner Amanda Laesch has been honored as the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Runner of the Week.

Laesch traversed the 4,000-meter course in 14:31, finishing fourth overall and helping the Cardinals turn in a fourth place team finish in an eight-team field that featured five NCAA Division I institutions. North Central amassed 117 points at the meet and was the top placing non-Division I squad.

The Cardinals, ranked seventh in the Midwest Region, return to action on Friday, Sept. 10, making the short trip to Aurora University for the Spartan Invitational.
