SAM CROUSER, Gresham OR, UNCORKED A 255-4 TO ADD 11' TO HIS NATIONAL RECORD!!  The record toss came on his 5th attempt at the Concordia Throws Center.

 

 

Midwest Meet of Champions:  Photos | Megan Goethals, Rochester MI, tuned up for nationals with a 1600 meter win in a time of 4:43.05.  Goethals also won the 800 meter run in 2:10.58.  Sara Kroll, Churchill MI, was 2nd in the 1600 in 4:46.45.  Erin Busbee, Collinwood OH, won the long jump with a leap of 19-6.  Amber Smith, Collinwood OH, won the 100 hurdles in 14.06.  Demoye Bogle, Wayne OH, doubled in the 110 hurdles (13.96) and the 300 hurdles (37.46).  Jake Hiltner, Wadsworth OH, rolled to a 1:50.51 win in the 800 over Nathan Hendershot, Pendleton Heights IN, 1:50.87.  Jamil Dudley, Massillon-Washington OH, won the high jump with a leap of 7-01.  Dustin Brode, Canfield OH, won the shot put in 67-01.50.  Find OH, IN, MI rosters here.

 

 

MN State Champs:  AA Boys - Michael Sandle, Eden Prairie, won the boys triple jump with a All-Time state best of 49-05.50.  White Bear Lake won the boys 4x200 in 1:27.99 and set a All-Time state best of 1:27.63 in the prelims.  Jacob Sandry, Jefferson, won the 1600 in 4:12.31.  Sam Miner, Winona, won the boys 800 with a quick 1:51.69.  Trevor Yedoni, Benilde, won the boys high jump in 6-10.  AA Girls - Hopkins girls won the 4x200 in an All-Time state best of 1:40.62 and the 4x400 with an All-Time state best of 3:51.28.  Frosh Jessica January, Richfield, won the girls 100 hurdles in an All-Time state best of 14.33.  January also won the 300 hurdles in 44.05.  The 800 was a tight race with 8th grader Maggie Carruth, Minnetonka, edging Haylie Zenner, Fergus Falls, 2:12.14 to 2:12.19.

 

 

 

Adidas Grand Prix: Geoff Decker Recap | Previews | Video Interviews - Lukas Verzbicas | Jake Hurysz | Francis Hernandez | Jim Rosa | Joe Rosa | Maddie Meyers, WA, rocked the girls mile with a US#1 time of 4:41.93 for US#17 All-Time!  Shelby Hayes, FL, was 2nd in a US#2 time of 4:43.00 which is also a Florida state record.  Kelsey Margey, NY, was 3rd in 4:43.91, a 13s PR!  Lukas Verzbicas, IL, (Photo, right, by Matt Shatkus) took the boys Mile in a US#1 time of 4:04.38 to make the All-Time list at #30.  Lukas also set the National Sophomore record which was held by Jeff See in 2003 (4:06.06).  He followed the rabbit for the first 900 meters and then took the lead with 700 to go.  Jim Rosa challenged, but Lukas held him off and closed the last 200 very strong to take the win.  Jake Hurysz, NC, was 2nd in 4:06.18.  Jim Rosa, NJ, was 3rd in 4:07.70.  Benjamin Cardozo NY won the girls 4x400 with a time of 3:40.85.  Stay tuned for up-to-the minute results today.

Dana Hills CA won the boys DMR with a blazing fast time of 9:58.76 for US#1 and US#11 All-Time.  North Central WA was 2nd with Kingston TC WA finishing 3rd.  The mile was fast and close with Elias Gedyon, Loyola CA, coming out on top in 4:08.24 with a US#5.  Wade Meddles, Sierra Lutheran NV, finished a close second in 4:08.76 (US#7) and Ben Johnston, North Central HI, placed 3rd in 4:08.98 (US#8).

Liverpool NY won the boys 4x800 with a US#2 time of 7:38.78 to upset US#1 Warwick Valley NY, who ran 7:42.97.  Mike Quercia, Marcellus, had the fastest split, a lightning quick 1:49.74.

Emily Lipari, Roslyn NY, won the girls 1500 with a swift 4:24.37 to defeat Aisling Cuffe, Cornwall NY, 4:26.41.  Alex Hatz, Fayetteville-Manlius NY, won the boys 1600 in 4:07.47.  Shaun Thompson, Baldwinsville, won the 3k steeplechase with a time of 9:20.30 to improve his own US#1 by 11 seconds.

 

Jordan Yamoah, Arlington NY, won the pole vault in a state record clearance of 16-06.  Brycen Spratling, Webster Schroeder NY, won the 400 dash in his first track season ever with a US#4 time of 46.81.  Mike Quercia, Marcellus NY, outdueled Zavon Watkins, Liverpool NY, to win the 800 in 1:50.27.  Melissa Kurzdorfer, Lancaster NY, won the discus with a US#6 162-08 toss.  Kim McCay, Kellenberg NY, upset the field in the 800 with a 5s PR and US#5 time of 2:07.75.  Aisling Cuffe, Cornwall NY, won the 3000 meter run with a time of 9:27.15.  Brandon Hutchinson, Bay Shore NY, and Justin Williams, Longwood NY, lit up the triple jump pit with Brandon winning 50-02.50 to 50-00.00.  

 

 

MileStat.com Elite Track Gala: Recap article | Photos | Videos |  Justin Hunter, Ocean Lakes, set a meet record in the long jump with a leap of 25-08 (He is already US#1 at 25-8.75).  Hunter also won the high jump in 6-06 and the triple jump in 47-10.  Kaila Blackburn, Richmond, won the girls 5000 with a meet record time of 18:08.24.  Fuquwan Greene, New Bern NC, was a double winner with the 100 dash (10.64) and the 200 dash (21.77).  Full Results Here

 

 

Golden West Invitational: Results | Often times at the Golden West Invitational the winds pick up as the sun goes down and tonight was no exception.  Billy Orman, Tuba City AZ, won the 3200 meter run in 9:19.86.  Orman's ran a 9:04.97 at the Arcadia Invitational back in April.  Kevin Finley, Granite Hill CA, won the boys 110 meter hurdles with a US#11 time of 13.76 (wind aided). Heath Reddy, Buchanan CA, won the boys mile in 5:15.05.  Simone Brown, Fairfield CA, set a meet record in the freshman 400 meter dash in 58.32.  Alexis Walker, Pasadena CA,  won the high jump with a jump of 5-09.  Alex Collatz, Stockdale CA, threw the discus 177-03 for the win. Collatz is already ranked US#2 for a 180-9 throw earlier in the season.  Timothy Ridge jumped 7-01 in the high jump for a US#10.  Jessica Davis, Highland CA, was a double winner, winning both the 100 meter dash (11.49) and the 200 meter dash (23.58).  Justin Scott, Mitchell Co, won the 100 dash in 10.41 (wind aided) and Sir-Paul Jones won the 300 meter hurdles in 36.35. 

 


New England Champs:  Live blog | Coverage page | Video Coverage | Hamden CT rolled to a meet record 4x800 time of 7:40.48 for US#3.  Splits were 1:56 for Nick Saba, 2:00 for Patrick Cyr, 1:54 for Isiah Whiting, and 1:50 for Chris FitzSimons on anchor!  Updates coming throughout the day.  Will Geoghagen, Brunswick, won the boys 1600 in 4:12.57.  Arianna Vailas won the girls 1600 with a meet record time of 4:47.48 to grease by Lindsay Crevoiserat, 4:47.75.  Frosh Precious Holmes won the 400 dash with a time of 55.48.  Mark McCauley won the 800 run with a tim eof 1:52.8, a Maine All-Time best.  Dominic Filiano won the the shot put in 64-01 for a New England Record.  Chris Bendtsen, Wolcott, won the boys 3200 with a time of 8:58.16 for a New England Record.  Coby Horowitz was 2nd in 8:58.17 and Aaron Watanabe was 3rd in 8:59.43.  Abbey Leonardi won the girls 3200 with a with an All-Time state best of 10:26.48.  Splits were 5:17 - 5:09.
