
After another week of indoor track & field action in Illinois, it's time to vote for the MileSplit Illinois girls performer of the week. Featured is Sandwich HS senior Sunny Weber.

This Week's Nominees:
"Sunny" Sundara Weber, Sandwich: The Duke University-bound Weber was all business at the Illinois Meet of Champions, from the gun, she separated herself from the deep 1600m field, running the first half in 2:21.6. The end result was an IL#1/US#4 4:44.99. In addition, Weber ran the third fastest time in state history.
Rayna Raglin, Alton: The senior recaptured the state lead in the 60m with a sizzling time of 7.46 at the 36th Annual SIU High School Invitational. Raglin would later complete her day by easily winning the 200m in 24.75
Daisha Brunson, Hoffman Estates (Conant): Posted 8.50 to win the 60m hurdles at the CYUP Cabin Fever Invitational, a new PR, and beat the state leader Jordan Hamb of Chicago South Shore, while improving from 8.56 and ranks #2 in Illinois. She followed that up with a 24.49 for second place in the 200 meters, good for #3 in the state.
Klarke Goranson, Manteno: Clocked a state-leading 2:13.71 to win the 800 meters at the Illinois Meet of Champions presented by New Balance.
Madeline Piekarz, St. Charles (East): Won the 55 meters at the NCC Cardinal Girls Indoor Classic with a massive PR of 7.19, breaking her previous best of 7.53 and moving to #3 in the state.
Courtney Burt, Chicago (Whitney Young): Won the triple jump at the CYUP Cabin Fever Invitational with a mark of 39-4, ranking #2 in Illinois.
