PEORIA, Ill. -- A free video stream of junior Mary Goldkamp's (Florissant, Mo./McCluer North) 1,500 meter race at Thursday's NCAA West Regional will be available from the NCAA website.  Bradley's record holder in the 1,500 meters, Goldkamp will race in the second of four heats Thursday scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. at Mike A. Myers Track And Soccer Stadium in Austin, Texas.

Thursday's preliminaries feature 51 competitors broken into four heats.  The top five individuals from each heat, plus the next four fastest times will advance to Saturday's NCAA Quarterfinal Round which is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.  Saturday's competition includes two heats of 12 competitors with the top five finishers in each heat and the next two best times advancing to the NCAA Championship June 9-12 in Eugene, Ore.

Goldkamp won the 1,500 meters at the 2010 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championship.  She is the first Bradley Track & Field athlete to advance to the NCAA Regional since Jennifer Jenkins finished 20th in the hammer throw at the 2007 NCAA Mid-East Track and Field Regional in Columbia, Mo.  In addition, Goldkamp is the first runner to advance to NCAA postseason competition since Hill-Shupbach competed in the 5,000 meters at the 1999 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship.
