PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior Erika Sepich (Canton, Ill./Canton) has been named the Bradley Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Wednesday after taking fourth in the javelin at last week's Pacesetter Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind.

Sepich set a season-best in the javelin with a toss of 107 feet-seven inches (32.80 meters) to take fourth in her only event.  Last year, she earned Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete honors after finishing fifth in the javelin at the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Championship.  A health science major, Sepich owns a 3.85 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the Country Financial Scholar-Athlete of the Week.  The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

The Bradley track and field team returns to action Saturday at the Carolina Qualifier in Chapel Hill, N.C.
