NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Bradley men's cross country team received all-academic team honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Monday after completing the 2009 season with a cumulative team grade point average of 3.16. A record total of 135 Division I men's programs received USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors, including 7-of-9 Missouri Valley Conference schools.
Vanderbilt and Creighton tied for top honors with a cumulative team GPA of 3.67, while Oklahoma State was named the 2009 NCAA Division I USTFCCCA Men's Cross Country Scholar Team of the Year. For a team to be considered for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, they must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Championship and also have a minimum 3.00 team cumulative GPA.
In additional to their USTFCCCA award, the men's cross country team also placed six student-athletes on the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll for the 2009 fall semester.
