Two of the state's top 800m runners actually reside in the Chicago Public League. Seniors Michael Polizzi of Taft and Landan Gillespie of Kenwood have been on the racing for quite a while. They were freshmen in 2020 when the Pandemic shut down the season. Fortunately, and threw patience, poise, and good timing, they are repeating the rewards.
This past weekend set up the two best middle-distance runners in the state: Polizzi and Gillespie- enjoy the race!
