Marianne Mihas- has been a gnat in his sport since the 8th grade- in a good way to the sport and nuisance to opponents. The Chicago Latin senior was not afraid of the upperclassmen when she came on the scene, running the mile in 5:02 as an eighth-grader.
EIU was the place where she won her first state title as a freshman in 4:56.29. However, it's been later in Mihas' career that she has concentrated in the 800m. Mihas has been lights out in the half-mile, winning her first state title in 2019. The national exposure has led to Mihas breaking 2:10 with a sweet 2:09.08. Now the mission is to get her teammates to a state title and that will something that will go down in infamy if she can complete it.
