2021 MileSplit IL Power Rankings: Week 2

2A Girls

6. Morton
10. Eureka
The Printout: Geneseo moves up to the top spot this week! The Maple Leaf's strong performances from their relays in addition to contributions from jumps ace Annie Wirth and combo hurdler Ali Rapps are boosting them up.

Chicago Latin, who has a team trophy from 2019, moved up one spot. The school and its distance aces led by Ava Parekh and Marianne Mihas look to lay the groundwork now for a shot at another trophy within a different classification.

Morgan Pilate and Sara Addai lead the charge for the Mt Zion Braves who remain near the top of the rankings.

Back to the Windy City, we'll find South Shore International College Prep. The Tars will heavily rely on an underrated talent in Jordan Marshall (Sr.). She is one of the top triple jumpers in the state regardless of classification.

Rosary rounds out the top five this week. Keep an eye on the Royals relay teams and a rise from top athletes Lianna Surtz and Ann Molenhouse. Lauren Doerr of Morton and Jayden Ulrich of East Alton-Wood River are doing what they can to keep their respective teams in a position to challenge for a top-five spot.
