PEORIA, Ill. - After setting a personal best time at the Bradley Classic last Friday, junior cross country runner Zach Bowling (Heyworth, Ill./Danville Area C.C./Heyworth H.S.) has earned this week's Inside Bradley Athletics Performance of the Week.

Bowling finished 20th out of 158 competitors at the 8K race and was the fourth Missouri Valley Conference runner to cross the finish line. His time of 26:01 smashed his previous personal best by 44 seconds and earned him his fourth top-20 finish of the season. Behind Bowling's superior performance, the Braves claimed an eighth place finish.

Bowling and the Braves will host the 2009 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Cross Country Championships Saturday, Oct. 31 at Newman Golf Course.
