An impromptu capturing of Dekalb senior Zurek Day's mother after he finished 3rd in the 300H state championship final with a personal best 38.15. Ms. Day, who was filled with emotion, explained how her son overcame tremendous odds growing up to become a star athlete. The outpouring of love and support she displayed from the stands during the 2017 championship was reciprocated by Zurek in this interview.
