The "cool assassin" Josh Methner in a calm and cool position after advancing to last year's Footlocker Cross country nationals

Starting out as a sub 15:00 freshman for Josh Methner at a then rebuilding Hersey Huskies program, very few knew what the future would store for the phenomenal runner of the Methner clan. 14:53.00 is what he ran at the state meet his freshman year and was the true start to the career that Josh was destined to have.
Slowly moving up each year with a 7th place performance as a sophomore clocking 14:36.00 at the state meet, and of course, his big win last year at 14:11.50. With two all-American honors last year with a 15th place performance at NXN and a 6th place performance at Foot Locker Nationals, Methner has proven himself to be one of the top runners in the nation this year. As well as his 2019 3A 3200m state title that boosts his resume.
With speculation looming all year of where he would go with esteemed programs such as Northern Arizona University, the University of Oregon, University of Notre Dame, and Purdue University... the moment has arrived and Josh plans to continue his running and academic career at the University of Notre Dame!
