Analysis: Virginia Episcopal School's Daniel O'Brien looks to keep the momentum going from his 2018 cross-country season. O'Brien finished third at the Foot Locker South Regional to earn a bid to Foot Locker Nationals, where he finished 12th to earn All-American honors. He had a strong regular season as well, finishing fifth at the Hare & Hounds Invitational and getting wins at the MileStat.com XC Invitational and Virginia Independent Schools State XC Championships. On the track, he was 18th (8:46.30) in the 3000m at The Penn Relays Carnival, fifth in the 3200m at the adidas Raleigh Relays (9:10.09), and eighth in the 2-mile (9:16.21) at New Balance Nationals Outdoor.
