2018 State Champion: Hunter Woodard (Tuscola) 60-4.50
Key Athletes: Ghage Lambasio (Sr., Knoxville), Brad Olysav (Sr., Williamsville), Isaiah Bruce (Jr., Lena-Winslow), Thomas Combs (Sr., Sesser-Valier), Chase Schmitt (Sr., Pleasant Plains), Jacob Brown (Sr., Trenton Wesclin), Payton Taylor (Jr., Catlin [Salt Fork]), Dalton Kitchen (Jr., Pinckneyville), Cameron Gersicher (Sr., Taylor Ridge [Rockridge]), Rusty Kuhlmann (Sr., Watseka)
Breakdown: Hunter Woodward, the state champion from last year, has since graduated but leaves in his wake a stream of amazing talent. Ghage Lambasio is the top returner from last year at 52-6.5 and will likely be a top name this year as well. He returns after finishing fifth last year and will be hungry to improve upon that mark. But he's not alone in the hunt for the state title.
Thomas Combs finished in sixth last year just behind Woodward. It'll be a great battle to watch as hopefully the two push each other throughout the season to some impressive marks.
