Boys highlight reel

Girls highlight reel

Tolono Unity High School girls are currently ranked #1 in Class A and one of the reasons why is their feeder program Tolono Unity Junior High School. The Junior Rockets came in as defending champs and they would not disappoint scoring 44 points to over Lockport Oak Prairie who racked up 141 tallies. The big victory was set up by a 20-second first mile split by seventh grader Raegen Stringer at 5:45. She would go on to place second in 11:41- 7 seconds in back of Marissa Roggensack of Winnebago.

There has been another dominant boy's team in the city of Chicago. Latin School is a program that has fostered running at a high level for some time and the much of the credit should go to Coach Michelle Parekh and her summer running program. The junior Romans would win their third title in a row on the strength of son Akili Parekh who placed second in 10:43, seven seconds behind winner Riley Newport of Dekalb Clinton Rosette. His teammates would compliment him well in closing out the scoring. Benjamin Gibson-4th, Matthew Kotcher-16th, Charles Coleman-19th, and Nelson Mitchell-20th will go down in history as one of the best middle school teams in IESA history.
