NSSF Names Team for CSI
Caribbean Scholastic Invitational set for June 13th in Puerto Rico


Team NSSF has been selected for the Fourth Caribbean Scholastic Invitational. Twenty-eight male and female, freshmen, sophomore and junior student-athletes will be making the trip to Puerto Rico in June.

This is the fourth year that the NSSF is sponsoring a team to the meet, held in Carolina, Puerto Rico (a suburb of San Juan). as part of our  international cultural, social and educational initiatives.  Teams from Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Islands, Martinique, Guadalupe, and other island nations are expected to be in attendance.


The majority of the team members competed at the Nike Indoor Nationals earlier this year in Boston, MA. There are two freshmen, three sophomores and the remainder are juniors. They represent the states of Virginia, New Hampshire, New York, Missouri, Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, Delaware, Maryland, Illinois, New Jersey, Ohio, Michigan, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. An experienced staff of 10, including a medical doctor, sports psychologist, massage therapist, chiropractor, coaches and support individuals, will accompany the team.
