During the onset of the Hinsdale Hornet-Devil Invitational we detailed a few particulars of Neuqua Valley junior Zach Kinne. One of those items is that he is an emerging star for one of the nation's elite cross country season. Last season as a sophomore, Kinne placed 17th in the 3A state championship. He would later go on to compete in the Nike Cross National Championship and finally netted a BIG personal best on the track. That personal best was a sweet 9:11.48 in the state meet where he took 5th in the 3200m. Kinne got his season off to a grand start on Saturday and he detailed just exactly how he did it and more.
