Yslipsanti, MI-

Not much happened for the land of Lincoln kids during the first two days except for a huge win 15-16 Girls High Jump champion by Decatur St. Teresa rising junior Daelin Switzer. Switzer persevered through a sore tibia to best the competition with a winning effort 5'7." The rest of the emerging competitors came out of their shell and performed well.

Rachel Hunter (Yorkville/Aurora Flyers TC) was an all-state 300H hurdler during her first year of high school. She was able to advance to the finals of the Girls 15-16 400H with a personal best time 1:04.75

Lauren Ferguson (Springfield) shows that summer racing is fruitful. The rising junior set the tone by winning the Women's 400H prelim #1 in a big personal best and IL#3 1:03.73. In just one summer Ferguson improved from 1:07.81.

Ronald Reed (Decatur MacArthur) won his prelim heat of the Men's 100m in a personal best into a stiff head wind 10.85 (-1.3).

Josh Bridges (Homewood-Flossmoor) Overcame a rough start and recovered in time to grab one of the remaining spots to the semi-finals (11.09/-1.3).
