Tony's Take Presents Female Athletes Of The Year: Jaimie Robinson Leads Incredible Group

Honorable Mention-

The gritty freshman did not disappoint in her first season among her distance running peers

Even before Katelynne Hart stepped a single step much less run for Glenbard West, she was already billed as the best runner in the state of Illinois. Hart did not disappoint the predictors as she dominated the competition in her initial cross country season. The child prodigy won the state 3A title and went on to become an All-American at Nike Cross Nationals. Things did not stop during a brief break and on to the track season. Hart put up impressive numbers indoors and outdoors as well as setting meet records at many venues. She became the first Illinois 3A girl to be successful at running 4x800 relay, 3200m and 1600m in the state championship. Hart's team won its first team title on the strength of distance running.
