Pierre's thoughts: The battle between Edwardsville and E. St. Louis, the top two state finishers in 2016 will be a fun one in Charleston. These two team appear to be the class of the 3A field. At the present time the Tigers of Edwardsville hold the edge heading into the SWC meet, we'll keep close watch. Presently the battle for the 3rd spot is extremely tight, teams rising to the occassion, many of them rely on unpredictable sprint relays and powerhouse sprinters. Any team, top ten or not could rise up and snatch a trophy in two weeks.
