Who Is #1: Class A Boys Individual Sneak Peek


Editor's Note: This is a subjective sneak peek of the upcoming top 25 individuals that will be listed in order after regionals. The final product (premium edition) will include full athlete profiles generated by the computer as well as in-depth thoughts co-signed by MileSplit IL editors.

A. Brayden Hamblen (Sr., Rock Falls) -As last year's third place state finisher (and top returner) currently unbeaten by any 1A competition, he's the undisputed favorite. Hamblen has a season best of 15:25.

B. Logan Hall (Jr., Arthur)- The supposed heir to Jon Davis' throne is having an outstanding season. Hall has one loss against Class A comp and finished 23rd at the Peoria Richard Spring Invite which was infused with 3A talent. Don't forget Hall busted a 14:48 road three miler. He also earned all-state honors as a sophomore. 

C. Tanner Chada (Sr., Hinckney Big Rock) - Former Aurora Christian standout is currently rocking the second fastest classification time in 15:09.

D. Charlie Parrish (Jr., Freeburg) -Finished third in the 1A/2A Peoria Central race. Very likely to go under 15 minutes at Detweiller.

E. Alex Helmuth (Jr., Monticello)- Has among the top returning times and running consistently well so far this season.
