Abe Jones loves his summer track . He loves it so much that he combined his Indiana and Illinois elite and developmental squads into one that competed over the weekend at Indiana University in the Youth Nationals. "We brought alot of kids here to get them exposed to a quality track meet... mostly to develop athletes."

-Super athlete Emma Spagnola (Trackmyspeed TC/West Aurora) preps for the upcoming US Junior Championships with several sizzling performances. Spagnola won the 17/18 Young Women age group100HH despite a ridiculous head wind in 14.04 (-2.0); 2nd in the 100m (12.26 -1.1); 1st in 400m with a personal best 56.56 (IL#9).

-Brittany Ellis (University of Chicago TC/Gurnee Warren) grabs second place in the 17/18 Young Women 200m with a 24.44 (-0.6).

-Lindsey Murray (Harrisburg) warms up for USATF Jr. Olympic Nationals (late next month) with an easy 12'9.5" winner in the 17/18 Young Women's pole vault division. Murray is the all-time Illinois record holder at 13'4".

-Wal Khat (Mooseheart) grabs 2nd in the YM 17/18 1500m (4:05.91) and wins the 800m (1:56.22).
