Sandburg head coach John O'Malley during the 2015 state aftermath

Have you ever wondered who are powerhouses in the state? York is a name that comes to mind, but it will probably surprise people that they have not fared well at the state meet over the past five years. You may ask how I can say the almighty Dukes is not a top-five team over the past five years without some bias attached to it. It is simple math. I have used the past five state meets and gave each place an allotment of points so for example, 1st place gets 25 points, 2nd place gets 24 points, 3rd place gets 23 points, and so on. So sit back and enjoy the top five teams at the state meet from the past five years boys edition as I tell you what the results say about who are the top five and some of those teams accomplishments throughout those five years.
